Fall Festival Street Fair
The Annual Fall Festival Street Fair - featuring colorful sidewalk displays and sales; fabulous food and chidren's activities along with the Garden City High School Homecoming Day Parade - is held in the fall each year.

Village Holiday Tree Lighting
The Village Tree Lighting at the Gazebo on the Village Green, near Village Hall, features musical entertainment including the Garden City High School Vocal Jazz Ensemble, along with Santa Claus and hot chocolate provided by the Garden City Fire Department.

Easter Vintage Car Parade
For more than 55 years the Chamber’s Annual Easter Vintage Car Parade and Show has drawn thousands of spectators to the village to view the stream of hundreds of vintage vehicles, show: 10 am. Parade: beginning at 1 pm, on Franklin Avenue and Seventh Street. Kiwanis’ Easter Bunnies hand out lollipops to the youngsters, and the renowned Banjo Rascals entertain.

Belmont Festival In Garden City
On the eve of the Belmont Stakes, Seventh Street in Garden City comes alive with festival fans from 6pm to 11pm. Sponsored by the New York Racing Association (NYRA), the Village of Garden City and members of the business community local revelers gear up for the running of the “Test of the Champions.” Seventh Street comes alive with clowns, street performers, several bands and culinary specialties from local restaurants. The crowd is expected to be in the neighborhood of 14,000. A must for Belmont Stakes enthusiasts!

For nearly 20 years, the Business Bulletin Magazine has carried messages of Garden City Shops, services and special events to our work force and residents throughout the Village.

Community Guide and Calendar of Events
The publication includes the events scheduled from September through June by more than 100 registered Village Organizations, churches, and school groups. It also lists their presidents or chair people along with their contact information. It also includes our exclusive Shoppers Timetable, listing the open hours, and contact information of all member retail stores and services, banks, realtors, and travel agents. Published for more than 41 years, the Guide also provides pertinent information about the Village and its businesses.
