Located next to Village Hall, this lovely addition to Garden City was completed in 1983. Since then it has become the perfect setting for summer outdoor concerts, holiday tree lightings and wedding photographers. Built by the Lyric Foundation in memory of Honora B. Cameron, it is dedicated to the spirit of volunteerism that has helped make Garden City a very special place.

Having pioneered the concept of off-street parking in the 1930's, Garden City was the first in the nation to create free parking behind all public buildings. It is the only business community on Long Island that provides over 10,000 free, municipally maintained, brightly lit parking spaces in close proximity to every retail shop, restaurant or commercial business. These thousands of unmetered parking spaces make driving into Garden City for business or pleasure hassle-free. And parking limits are regularly adjusted to accommodate business changes as they occur.
