As old as the village itself, Seventh Street has always been the heart of the village. Whether it was the huge stables for the 1st hotel or eventually the Garden City Garage to house the “new horseless carriages,” Seventh Street was the place. Later, the first village hall was on Seventh Street, as well as the firehouse. Today, Seventh Street is a successful blend of small shops, supermarkets, restaurants, and distinctive apartment buildings.
